The U.S. Embassy Zambia Public Affairs Section is pleased to announce that funding is available through its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program.

Priority Areas
  • Priority areas are as follows:
    • Strengthening and expanding capacity in sectors relating to mining and critical minerals.
    • Strengthening transparency by fostering an independent and professional media.
    • Combat the illegal timber and mining trade.
    • Promoting entrepreneurship and business development, or business climate reforms.
Funding Information
  • Award Amounts: Awards may range from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $40,000
  • Program Performance Period: Proposed projects should be completed in 12 months or less.
Eligibility:
  • The following organizations are eligible to apply (both U.S. and Zambian):
    • Registered not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations
    • Public and private educational institutions
    • Individuals
    • Public International Organizations and Governmental institutions
  • All organizations must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) issued via SAM.gov as well as a valid registration on SAM.gov.
